Shock method does not need to be limited to the lower body. When preparing for contact the shoulder and neck need to be prepared to rapidly brace for impact, and shock method strategies can be usefully applied.

It’s become trendy in soccer ⚽️ to chase and discuss outputs. Truthfully it reduces the amount of coaching required, so 🎯. But speed coaches with LTAD as a priority understand real speed development is built on what lasts. “The aerobic system is the foundation of performance.”

Scapular depression is an undertrained yet important aspect for overhead/throwing athletes. Chronic scapular elevation can cause athletes to have a tough time depressing the scapula in rowing patterns. This band allows them to easily feel correct positions & patterns

“Eat at your own restaurant” @WSWayland Training yourself is one of the most important things you can do as a performance coach. It’s a chance to easily build buy in by having skin in the game, learn and test new training ideas, and keep yourself in great health.

8 vector jump progressions, an Elon Sports Performance staple. Love seeing these translate directly to the game @SCoach_Aldo

The most underrated upper body lift in my opinion is the z press. It’s a brutally honest assessment of pressing strength. Similar to strong on 1 = strong on 2. I’ve never met a strong overhead presser who wasn’t also a strong horizontal presser, the opposite doesn’t hold true.

Strong on 1 = strong on 2 Unilateral work is not just an accessory, in fact it’s typically a more important primary. Watch sport take place and you’ll quickly realize most movement actions are asymmetrical/unilateral bias.

APRE is a great tool to ensure the proper stimulus is hit during training. Percentage based training doesn’t account for daily fluctuations in readiness, APRE is the best free simple way to auto-regulate training loads and maximize training volume.
