Because sometimes chemistry doesn't work out the way you thought it would🤷‍♀️. We tried to make a halogen bonded cage but ended up with other stuff instead. Check out my poster below for more info. @ismsc2020 #ISMSCPoster #noncovalent6

@chenxing_guo @ismsc2020 but making a more pre organised receptor is also something we are looking into.

@chenxing_guo @ismsc2020 Thanks for your comment and you are probably right 😅! We also tried synthesising the 3,5 dibromo and 4-halo pyridyl versions as we thought that the halo atoms would be in a better location to form the cage but we could never synthesis them.
