Iโve noticed a pattern across a few privacy-focused projects.
If youโve been paying attention to onchain privacy, youโll see itโs not just about โprivacyโ anymore.
Itโs about whether privacy can work with good user experience, and still fit into some level of complianceโwithout breaking everything.
These are some of the projects building in that direction:
@0xMiden โ building a chain where privacy is part of the core system, not something added later.
@zksync โ known for scaling, but now working on customizable privacy setups on Ethereum.
Feels like making privacy easier to plug into apps.
@inconetwork โ focused on bringing privacy to existing chains instead of making users move.
That ease of use matters a lot.
@SeismicSys โ a privacy-focused EVM chain, with a clear focus on fintech where confidentiality is important.
@ligero_inc โ more focused on infrastructure and business use.
Less hype, more real-world use cases.
@0xPredicate โ building tools to control how privacy works.
Because privacy alone isnโt enoughโyou need rules around it.
@fiber_evm โ working on private wallets with a mobile-first approach.
Could make things much easier for everyday users.
What stands out is how different the approaches are.
ZK vs TEEs, new chains vs adding to existing ones, backend vs user experienceโฆ
everyone is solving the same problem in different ways.
If these projects go live this year, we might start seeing real use, not just ideas. And thatโs definitely it!
Iโm still exploring privacy focused projects, let me know the ones youโre paying attention to in the comments.
