See the problem with the USA is there's literally only one city, NYC You may think you live in a city, but you only call it that cause there's no other cities in the US It's not that its the best city it's literally just the one

Literally structure you entire life around doing work that matters -- take pay cuts if you have to It's the only context you can unabashedly pour all your energy into a singular focus the obsession drives clarity of purpose I'm the happiest I've ever been

There’s also something really liberating when you start over from a blank canvas. It’s fun.

Great artists and entrepreneurs always have the ability to start over. Elon Musk made $200 million from selling PayPal then put $100 million into SpaceX, $80 into Tesla, $20 into SolarCity, and had to borrow money to pay rent. @naval “This guy is a perennial risk taker. He's always willing to start over. He doesn't have any pride about being seen as successful, as being seen as a failure. Even now, when he's sort of made his new startup as a USA. He's basically trying to fix it like he would fix one of his startups. And I think that is a willingness to look like a fool, and that is a willingness to start over. And creating anything great requires zero to one, and that means you go back to zero, and that's really painful and hard to.” @ChrisWillx @elonmusk

But when you have strong buy-in from both sides, deals will be done. In this world, one world-class engineer can truly make a world of difference.

What we did have was unwavering commitment from the client and a continuous refinement of how to pitch, position, and define world-class talent for them. This is contingency-based recruiting—it's not always pretty.

Today, we successfully placed a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at a Series A company that is fundamentally transforming the way people perceive, utilize, and comprehend video content. That's the good news. The challenging, or perhaps frustrating, aspect...

When you start a venture, you can’t know all the issues that you’re going to run into; just not possible. That’s why prioritizing forward momentum, iteration, and learning is the best way to go.

This is one of the biggest reasons I LOVE working with VC partners and engineers (we’ve worked with hundreds at this point). They know that momentum creates opportunity.

Builders build. Period. While everyone else is stuck waiting for the “right moment” or obsessing over every little detail, builders dive in and get things done. Really, that’s the startup way of life.

The ones who thrive are the ones who outwork everyone else when no one’s watching. Even more, it’s the ones who love what they’re doing. That’s how you win on the field, in business, and in life.

Said another way: Winning isn’t about talent or reps, it’s about discipline, resilience, and executing when it counts. Just like on the field, you can’t control every outcome, but you can control your preparation and effort.

Playing college baseball taught me one thing—success is earned, not given. Every day, I had to show up, put in the work, and push beyond my limits. Those are the days that compound. Business is exactly the same:
