That is the embodiment of Marion Gathoga Mwangi @EngageKE One thing that stood out for me from Marion’s story is this: life may go differently from what you expected career-wise, professionally, financially, or even personally, but there is always something within you that no one can take away from you. Choose wisely about your 1000 days of complacency and the 3Cs. But remember Your voice. Your mind. Your grit. Your story. Your ability to rise again. “Opinions are very many, but the most beautiful thing about your suffering is that you determine what you do with it.” — Marion Gathoga. That line stayed with me. Too many people surrender themselves to public opinion, disappointment, rejection, or failed plans. They slowly flow into nothingness, shrink themselves, and block their own becoming. Yet pain, failure, and detours can either bury a person or build one. And perhaps that is why another statement hit deeply: “I am indeed a wise fool.” — Marion Gathoga Mwangi There is wisdom in trying. Wisdom in risking. Wisdom in beginning again. Wisdom in laughing through pain while still carrying vision. Same way she tells this difficult story story but..... What a story. What a reminder. What was your earliest experience of being completely out of your comfort zone? For Marion, it was being in a new school and she could not communicate in the only language she knew. She had to learn a new language and this was the beginning of a life long learning journey as she stepped into new schools, jobs and life situations. Life is not perfect.
