IQ isn't this ever-constant genetic bedrock. It's up by 30 over the span of 4 to 5 generations. A median person today (top 50%) would be in the top 2% just one 100 years ago. Evolution doesn't work that fast.
Our great grandparents got by with a 'low IQ' no issue.

The source used refugee children who had endured war, displacement, trauma, little or no schooling, and high rates of malnutrition/disease. This is important because, Refugee camps are not random samples of the population-they skew toward more vulnerable groups. The authors themselves noted caution about generalizing to all Somalis, which some people willfully choose to ignore.
