It’s a shame that city leaders in my hometown of Cincinnati have declared it a “sanctuary city.” That’ll change when I’m in charge of Ohio. We’ll never condone violating the law, or else the people lose respect for the rule of law itself.

Most of my followers know my journey. I found trading out of necessity to survive. I was a single mom of two young girls and my ex husband sabotaged every small step that I made to better myself and support my children. I started trading out of necessity to live. Today something happened that grounded me. I cried. I healed. I grew. Flash back 4 years ago. I was struggling to survive. Finally I’d made enough money to pay my bills. To live. Even go splurge if I wanted to, but I had not. What I did, was this. I took my daughter to the dentist. I could finally afford her appointment to fill her cavity and the win felt so good. As I sat in the waiting room and looked up I saw a sunglasses shop. I went in, and splurged on some beautiful Gucci sunglasses that I’d never in a billion years have bought for myself. These I effortlessly could afford and bought and even felt guilty for buying. They became sentimental. They represented everything that I could not afford but now could. Not for myself but for my children and my future independence. Today I lost those sunglasses in the waves of the ocean. I cried. Hard. It wasn’t about the money spent. It was about what they represented. The ability to survive and provide from reliance on only myself even against adversity. I respect the ocean and for me it’s an object of salvation. It’s a life lesson in and of itself. It gives me peace and closure and it’s worth far more than a pair of $580 Gucci sunglasses. I cried though. I reflected. Sentimentality is invaluable. The loss is more meaningful than the cost of the glasses. Life lesson to the max today. I came through it blindingly thankful. And that’s enough.

SERIOUS QUESTION: If somebody handed you $800,000 and said it's because you're ugly, would you accept it?
