@NYPoliticalMom OH... I think you will love it. Been thinking on doing a rewatch - if you feel the need to discuss, I have seen every episode (years ago) and could easily refresh my memory! Pro-tip - watch with the captions on. Sometimes the dialogue is detailed & intense, and it helps!

Trump's VA is cutting thousands of unfilled roles. They're trying to say it doesn't matter, but that's not what I hear from local veterans. And now we're fighting a war with NO justification and NO plan for the veterans who come home. No war with Iran. Staff the VA.

The dress that would become one of the most photographed in American history was created by a woman most people were never meant to know. When Ann Lowe was commissioned to design the wedding gown for Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, she was already one of the most skilled couture designers in New York. An African American designer in a segregated industry, she had spent years building a reputation among the elite—while being denied the recognition her work deserved. But just ten days before the wedding, disaster struck. A pipe burst in her studio. Water rushed through the room, destroying nearly every gown she had spent weeks hand-sewing—not just Jackie’s, but the dresses for the entire bridal party. Silk ruined. Lace flattened. Hours of invisible labor erased overnight. There was no time to start over. So Ann Lowe did something almost unthinkable. She worked day and night, remaking every single dress from scratch. No assistants could fix what required her hands. No shortcuts could recreate that level of detail. Stitch by stitch, she rebuilt an entire wedding wardrobe under crushing pressure. She delivered the gowns on time. Perfect. But when the press asked who designed the dress, her name wasn’t celebrated. It wasn’t even properly said. She was described simply as “a colored dressmaker.” No mention of the flood. No mention of the loss she absorbed herself. No mention that she was paid far less than the work demanded—and that the disaster nearly financially ruined her. For decades, the truth stayed buried beneath the fabric of that moment. But the dress never changed. It still stands as one of the most iconic wedding gowns in history—intricate, deliberate, unforgettable. And now, finally, so does the African American woman who made it. © WomennIn World History #archaeohistories

@EricaCooper Then I have to repeat myself and it usually clicks for most. Maybe 20% of the time they aren’t actually experts and their inability to answer my question makes it evident

It’s always so bizarre to me when I ask someone a question related to their “specialty” and they struggle to answer. I used to run into this every once in a while but it’s a regular occurrence over the past couple of yrs.

@BasedPoliticsUS @BenStiller "Excuse" - why did he owe you an answer? Are you a Nimoy? He was buried according to Jewish tradition - his funeral was held 3 days after death. It is understood that not everyone can make that time frame, & there are other ways to mourn in the Jewish tradition. How intrusive.

The 14th Amendment could not be more clear: if you are born in America, you are a U.S. citizen. Doesn't matter what Trump thinks. He can't rewrite our Constitution on his own.

Agreed. Bernie has skeletons in his closet spanning decades, from the essay he wrote in the 70s about how women enjoy being raped, to his 2016 campaign where staffers said they experienced sexism and unfair pay. This man has been problematic for many years.
Tim@trouble_man90

This is why it was a colossal mistake to let Bernie go unscathed. It made him and his supporters think he was untouchable with no skeletons or red flags. We should have oppo nuked him in oblivion when he continued to attack Hillary for months after he lost.
