The death of a marriage, for whatever reason, is one of the most harsh finalities in life. Some things were meant to be nurtured, to grow, to endure, and to be lovely. It's really sad when that doesn't happen. I'm all for helping to salvage marriages, whenever and however I can.

I'm always striving to be a better spouse, the best I can be. Reason is, not only because I love her, but because life is so short, time is so precious, that I want us to be deliriously happy for as long as we're both here!

If you're about to enter into the parenting phase of marriage, approach it with the same live, commitment, and other qualities that you also put forth in your marriage. Especially seeing that you are bringing a young life into the world.

Men - If she hates cooking, she's not the one. What are you going to do later if you marry her? Feed your children outside food? Quit your work and start cooking yourself? A woman who won't cook is like a man who won't earn - useless.

One thing I was told long ago, and I still believe: Spouses should never go to bed angry, because you're not guaranteed to wake up the next morning. Straighten it out before bedtime. Facts.

@sosane19 @AfricanArchives I remember when it was in the theater, but I didn't see it. I was just coming into my teens around that time. Most people wrote the Panthers off as militants and trouble makers, but they did a lot of great things in their communities.

@EverMarried @AfricanArchives Check out Judas and the black messiah. Beautiful movie about Fred Hampton. Great presentation as well of the type of work the Panthers did.

At 16, Yvette Stevens joined the Black Panther Party. She was responsible selling the Black Panther newspaper & helping start the free breakfast program for children. You might know her by another name: CHAKA KHAN! Happy 70th Birthday to Grammy Award winning singer Chaka Khan!

So much emphasis on sex nowadays because that’s all a lot of people have to offer. Nothing else

@MicheleHuntsma6 🤭Yes, some men manage very well not to speak for days. Nevertheless, they often can be lured out of their reserve like that... Have you tried it before?

The more you talk, the more often he'll switch off and stop following what you're saying. Speak less. Let him ask what you're thinking about or what's on your mind. Then he is receptive - and you are automatically more interesting. 🌹
