Itโs not that. Itโs that the games mentioned feel niche and not system-seller titles capitalizing on the impressive power of Switch 2. Looking backwards instead of forwards (classic Star Fox, Ocarina, Switch Sports) feels like a huge misstep.

It turns out when Nintendo PR claimed โthe cost of physical Switch 2 games is not going upโ it was misleading.
Because when Yoshi and the Mysterious Book was teased earlier this month the price for both versions was $59.99, now physical will cost $69.99

This is not a pro consumer move at all. Theyโre not discounting digital games. Theyโre just taxing physical games Itโs all an attempt to kill the physical market so they have total control of the price of games through their store front. No second hand market. No real ownership.
