@DMunchow FHS uses a similar scale but raises expectations for passing above a 1. The ranges for each alpha grade seem to make a lot of sense for their students and align nicely to College Board's 4 point scale ranges.

@FCPSAccelerates he best option is really to do a 50 point scale. 0 is failing, 1 is a D, 2 is a C, 3 is a B, 4 is an A, and 5 is a 100%.
