All of us thought we would finish the league between 8th and 10th position just as Amorim and his supporters predicted (that we are not ready for Europe cos we don’t have good players).

Why is a win worth 3 times more than a draw? To incentivise teams to go for the win because that’s what the fans want
It’s exactly the same here. Goals scored is given precedence to encourage more goals

Last summer we kept on hearing from journalists that we couldn’t spend because we didn’t qualify for the CL. These journalists kept on saying how qualifying for the CL was important for us to spending big. We eventually signed only 4 first team players.
Fast forward a year where we look like set to qualify for the CL, reliable journalists are reporting that we will sign 4 first team players.
