We’re missing the fundamental user experience around the concept of “predicting”. What happened to the thrill of picking a side, the tribalism, the reinforcement of being right when others were wrong? @linera_io brings simplicity rooted in centuries of parimutuel markets. It’s simple. 3 major assets. 3 of the fastest timeframes. Up or down, 1, 3 and 5 minute markets. Information and competitive symmetry. A time to pick your side (entry period) and time to watch what the market does (resolution period). Instead of all out PVP for every singular crumb of spread, on Linera Markets it’s you versus them. Them versus us. Think of each new market as a race with two participants, higher and lower. 1 minute before, the “betting” pool opens, 1 minute later, it closes and the 1 minute “race” begins. Two minutes, two periods of excitement. Pools build chaotically as price moves, and participants watch together as the market resolves. Short term crypto price markets are popular for a reason. The convergence of attention span and speed of liquidity. But if we rely on the same structures for these markets that we do for all others, we risk losing their true purpose. Being right, when others were wrong. And being paid handsomely for it!

Buildathon Wave 1 Recap 🏗️
Wave 1 of the Linera Buildathon on @akindo_io is officially complete — and it’s been an incredible start.
We received 93 submissions from builders all over the world and selected 22 projects as winners. 🎉
That includes one project originally marked Yellow and one marked Red that our judges felt had been miscategorized after deeper review. A great reminder that real innovation doesn’t always fit neatly into boxes.
Overall, the quality and creativity of submissions blew us away — from real-time marketplaces and AI-powered tools to experimental on-chain games. It’s clear builders are already pushing what’s possible with microchains.
Looking ahead, future waves will raise the bar.
Winning projects will need to:
✅ Compile and run successfully
✅ Include a functional Linera contract
We’ll be sharing a submission template soon to make that process easier.
Behind the scenes, our team is also refining and improving the evaluation process — filtering out the noise and better identifying the most promising projects.
As for rewards:
🏅 1,000 XP has been distributed to all Yellow and Green projects
🧱 Builders of Green projects have earned the Builder role on Discord
🎨 POAPs are coming soon!
