Dr. Jenny Root, PhD Student Deidre Gilley and Kristy Ward (LCS Transition Specialist) presented at the Florida Visions Division on Career Development and Transitions.

Dr. Jenny Root was awarded the Robert M. Gagné Research Award at the Marvalene Hughes Research in Education Conference. This award honors Gagné's research legacy and the spirit of mentoring with which he worked with students and faculty colleagues. Congratulations, Dr. Root!

Dr. Root was the keynote speaker at the American Council on Rural Special Education (ACRES) conference earlier this March.

Emily Stover, a 2nd Year PhD student, has been selected as a 2022-2023 DEI Liaison for DADD. DADD recognizes the need to pay attention to factors of racial/ethnic injustice, disability injustice, and accessibility that negatively impact its members’ lives.

FSU's College of Education (Special Education) and College of Communication & Information were represented at last week's Conference on Research Interventions in Early Childhood. All attendees present their own research at this multidisciplinary event.
