@ianmiles It was not blocked before the war it was used as a strategy to end the illegal war and it worked. Can you assist me here, what were the main objectives of this war? Were they achieved? At what cost to USA/Israel? Obviously Iran was attacked and suffered losses.

Many people are under the mistaken belief that Iran owns the Strait of Hormuz. They do not. It is international waters and they have absolutely no right to blockade it or demand a transit fee.

Like everyone, I hope we can end the reign of terror of the Iranian regime through diplomacy. We must remember that the Strait of Hormuz was attacked by Iran after the start of the war, destroying freedom of navigation. Going forward, it is imperative Iran is not rewarded for this hostile act against the world. As to an Iranian ten point proposal to end the war, I look forward to reviewing it at the appropriate time and its submission to Congress for a vote, like we did with the Obama JCPOA. I want to reaffirm that from my point of view, every ounce of the approximately 900 lbs. of highly enriched uranium has to be controlled by the U.S. and removed from Iran to prevent them in the future from having a dirty bomb or returning to the enrichment business - the Libyan model, for lack of a better phrase. @Ostrov_A If it's liquid fuel missiles fired before the cease fire it will happen. Israel/USA bombed infrastructure in Iran, obviously communication structures were affected some launchers will delay to get information. There is a reason why energy sites and leaders are sacred targets.

The only way to defeat Iran, given the weakness of previous U.S. administrations, was always to go "crazy." I have made this argument since 2015. Democrats and pundits unwittingly strengthened Trump's hand by panicking. He will either get the Strait for "free" or end the regime.
