@FallBackITA27 "Fascism looks bad when we see it purely through the lens of the worldview of the people it was resisting." Hint: " class" does not exist. Marx just made it up because he was an elitist who couldn't tell a cobbler from a factory worker.

Fascism is nothing more than the reaction of the bourgeois class to the threat of losing power to the proletariat. This has been proven true throughout history several times around, be it Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Chile; The story is always the same.

@python_717 @FallBackITA27 But could they have conquered Western Europe? I think not. And this is downstream of economics. Obviously I think the economy should be directed towards power projection of the state, so if your economy weakens your ability to militarily assert yourself, it needs rework.

@TWarPhilosopher The party owns the industry because it needs to own it for the sake of economic planning, otherwise it couldn't organize some of the highest level medical schools globally, or simply it wouldn't have access to the primary resources it needs for the state to keep on existing.

If a Capitalist country is imposing its will upon a Communist country, what does that say about the organizing power of Communism for a polity? Cuba also heavily relies on tourism for their economy to function, relying on tourists from Capitalist countries. Iโ€™ve actually been there, 90% of the people in Havana are unemployed, thereโ€™s trash everywhere, families beg tourists for money to feed their children. The system doesnโ€™t work, embargoes aside. They only retained a successful economy pre fall of the USSR when they were receiving massive aid packages for the Soviet bloc to retain a presence in North America/Latin America.

@FallBackITA27 @TWarPhilosopher So you want a communist state to engage in capitalism with other countries and only then can it even have a shot at success?

@FallBackITA27 Leftists will always lose because you fail to understand your enemies and foolishly discount them. Not that Iโ€™m complaining.

@FallBackITA27 Jacobins were closer to fascism than to marxian socialists also your definition of fascism seems to be "somewhat violent anti-leftist dictatorship"

@notquitemaoism I'm aware, it's what happened in Italy over this autumn when we organized the mass strikes alongside the flotilla, but frankly I did not expect mass responses from fascists when all I was trying to do is base the claim that fascism is not an ideology

this is a vulgar analysis; the bourgeoisie itself does not procedurally implement fascism as a tactic, but moves to control fascism as it arises from various transient social formations (like demobilised veterans), as well as the petty bourgeoisie
