I travel the world constantly, and I don't say, "THIS IS _____" based on American values. When you are visiting another country and culture, you adapt. If you are an American visiting a Middle Eastern country where it's considered shocking/rude/improper for women to have bare midriffs and shoulders, you don't wear a crop top. If you are an American visiting France, you don't barge up to a sales counter and start loudly speaking English. If you are an American visiting China, you don't mock chopsticks and demand a fork everywhere you go. If you are an American visiting Japan, you don't leave a 20% tip, because, yes, that is considered quite rude. So, by the same logic, Europeans and others visiting the United States need to recognize that the way things are done in the U.S. is to tip appropriately by *American* standards when they are guests visiting. That means following the standards of their host country, and that's 20%. Being a good tourist means respecting your host country's policies and cultural standards even, and maybe especially, when they are radically different from your own.

@osgoodlx @marleydickinson Dennoch wirst du immer bekannte Gesichter sehen Schau mal heuts nach der Halle Saale Fahne die bei vielen Länderspielen im Stadion hängt Die wirst du fast immer finden und es wird sicher auch immer eine Gruppe finden die mitfährt und Stimmung macht aber halt nicht so wie früher

@osgoodlx @marleydickinson Natürlich nicht alle aber die meisten Der generelle Konsens der Kurven in der Bundesrepublik ist klar gegen den DFB und die Nationalmannschaft wird von vielen längst nicht mehr so unterstützt wie vor 2006 Daran ändert auch der DFB eigene Fan Club Nationalmannschaft nur wenig

Frankfurt my club alone has more than 20,000 active supporters through mutible hundreds of EFCs and aktive fan groups. Across Germany the active fan scenes numbers in the hundreds of thousands
