@ThePhillyPod You could bench and squat 500+, if somebody hits you when you only have 1 foot on the ground you will go flying. No need to over analyze this.

@Fantasy_Giant @0nlyMeez @FFHitman I don’t think anybody is “looking for” anything Just a conversation about how this is not “right”. You seemingly agree, at least now. That wasn’t obvious originally. A collective of the small consequences you mentioned for an NFL, is actually very impactful.

@FantasyAverage @0nlyMeez @FFHitman It’s a big deal bc it probably was a rule violation, but it’s not a big deal in the sense that nothing more than a fine will happen and if you are looking for more you are going to be disappointed. The team is not losing draft picks here and the coach is not getting suspended

Ok, now I feel bad. This kid just had the best night of his life and it’s torched. Not sure what happened with potential “gamesmanship” by Shanny. But Mason shouldn’t be collateral damage
Kevin Krueger@kevinkruegs

Jordan Mason was upset during the postgame press conference After the game he told reporters that he was told he was going to start on Friday. Kyle Shanahan was asked about this and said that this wasn’t true. This was Mason after all of that:

@Fantasy_Giant @0nlyMeez @FFHitman The fact that they will get a fine in the first place proves that this is a big deal. Your arguments are all sort of moot imo. I agree it’s not on Mason, but pretty much everybody agrees there needs to be transparency. It’s essentially insider trading when it comes to betting.

@0nlyMeez @FFHitman They will get a fine and move on. And if we knew about it, the books knew about it. Which means the odds would have reflected CMC being doubtful or being ruled out…. In fantasy, if you didn’t handcuff the first overall pick with injury history, that’s on you

@WeHateRob @Fantasy_Giant I agree I’d also say, just do what you prefer. If you wanna lock up the JAX backfield because Bigsby cost you less than somebody else, be my guest. You’re far worse off if your RB gets hurt than if you get a boost to a backup IMO

How are the never handcuff people doing? Sitting there with Christian McCaffrey and Trey Benson/Blake Corum instead of Jordan Mason?? Couldn’t be me🤗

If you can pass block, and your backup can’t, you will not lose your job as a starting NFL RB without an injury This doesn’t provide fantasy points directly, but it ensures they won’t leave the field

I’m not hating on Bucky Irving or even propping up White, but I’m pretty sure we were hearing all the same things about Sean Tucker just last year

Do not pass up on a high quality/upside backup RB just because you already drafted the starter

@2tittiesrfun @JakeBoesFF @Fantasy_Giant You still have to take somebody out of your lineup for the new RB either way. Why would I want a backup to a bad RB just because he’s not mine when I can potentially have a backup to my good RB/good offense? Its all preference and contextual, the whole argument is silly

The goal is always to win the league. Time and time again the best team gets knocked out of the playoffs, sometimes because they suffered an injury and did not have a replacement
Jake Boes@JakeBoesFF

@Fantasy_Giant Is your goal to have the best team or to avoid having the worst?

@YZR_Fantasy @Fantasy_Giant You’ve made this “10th to 5th” argument a few times but it doesn’t make sense. If I’m in 10th and you give me a new RB I still have to take somebody out of my lineup for them and I likely don’t win the league anyway

@Fantasy_Giant The optimal moves don’t change when the stakes change, it’s still not optimal. 1st is still the only goal. Insurance only helps you move from 10th to 5th as I said in the tweet. It feels good to be safe but it lowers your chance of winning.

I’ll never understand people who don’t understand the concept of insurance. I got 2k on the line I’d much rather have the guy that will get the work if my RB goes down than someone else’s RB who remains worthless bc the starter never goes down. Just gonna drop him in 2 weeks
Akash@YZR_Fantasy

I'll never understand people who draft their own handcuffs in fantasy. If the only way for a pick to work is for your earlier pick to fail, it's a bad pick. You still lose production even if it's not as much. Shoot for 1st- ALWAYS. 5th place gets the same money as 10th.
