Do you mean 8 hours in a week? If we even get this we would all be celebrating in my area. We go up to 2 - 3 days without an hour of quality supply. I sell cement at the market here in Abeokuta. A customer came to pay for 150 bags of cement, collected receipt and disappeared for over 4 months. Yesterday, he came back with trucks to carry the cement. He said he had been seriously sick since the day after he made payment, that’s why he couldn’t come earlier. I explained to him that the price of cement has increased since then and he needs to add more money before carrying the goods. I even offered to refund the exact amount he paid back then if he’s not comfortable. Omo, the man got angry immediately 😩 He said he’s not adding any money and he’s not collecting refund. According to him, “na the cement wey I pay for I wan carry.” He even threatened to drag me legally next week. Before he drags me, that’s why I said I should ask if I’m really wrong because honestly, market price don go up and I no wan lose money o. Pls what do I do now I need your advice it seems this man wants to chêât me ?

I am privileged to have chaired this high-powered panel on sustaining economic reforms at the 2026 Nasarawa Investment Summit. Apart from some bad spots at Mararaba and Keffi (due to ongoing construction work), the road from Abuja to Lafia is pretty good. The weather in Lafia is hot though. Phew! 🥵 I don’t think I have seen as many political campaign posters anywhere as I have seen in Nasarawa state.😀 I stopped to buy the famous Akwanga roasted goat meat on my way back. It will go down well with cold beer for the Bayern v PSG match later today. 😀

Dear Nigerians (who mean well), Do not let them demonise those helping to build our systems. We cannot be seen to always antagonise enterprise and entrepreneurs. The men and women building this country must always get the support they need. And when they share their opinions, you are free to disagree, but it must never be seen as an opportunity to take down or destroy. Don't let others use you to undermine yourself. We need development to happen at scale. This is a tough climate to build. Let's not be blind to our challenges.

Most earn N3M and some earn N4M monthly. They have people who earn around N10M monthly! Moniepoint remains one of the highest transacting companies in AFRICA. They are a world-class company. And if Moniepoint did not exist, Nigeria would have gone to CHINA, completely. Tosin must have spoken from a place of deep passion and pain because human capital in Nigeria is low. I have tweeted about this several times as well. Yes, we have good talent, but when you look at the larger population of the country, we have so much work to do. This is a FACT! By the way, Moniepoint has paid some employees a million dollar in stock options (IN CASH). And there are at least 15-20 people who work with Moniepoint in Nigeria who are dollar millionaires! So, to say they underpay or they take advantage of cheap labour is redundant and lazy talk. Again, criticisms should be fair and balanced.
