@FatChops51 I’m sure you’re aware the R word is derogatory, so I’ll ask you to consider not to use it. And George Gervin is far from obscure. He won 3 straight scoring titles. Caleb Williams has 1 winning season. If you don’t know ball just say so. Internet is happy to educate.

I’ll say it… I have no clue who George Gervin is or was in regard to basketball. 🏀 I’m not the biggest NBA fan but I’ve never even heard of him before all of this “Iceman” nonsense. Not sure why the uproar in regards to Caleb Williams attempting to make a business decision that it sounds like Gervin should have attempted before. Williams, his family and his business team owe nothing to Gervin. Go get your paper if you can!

@FatChops51 Perhaps it is possible he didn’t feel a need to and Williams doing it could hurt current/future business for George. Just a thought. In which case he most likely does have a case to own the trade mark. Williams should settle it with him and make some George Gervin merch.

You guys can all go paint a pretty picture of George Gervin’s career and call me an NBA casual… I am. 😉 I don’t apologize for not knowing about a player whose prime was in the 70s when I was born in the early 80s and I didn’t start watching the NBA until like 1988. A sport I played one season recreationally. The point stands. If Caleb Williams and his team win the trademark…then too bad for bad business on Gervin’s team. Glad he was a great player.
