oh so they ARE adapting Rosalina’s backstory??? that’s pretty neat but I’m a little shocked by the sister separation thing because last time I checked, Rosalina didn’t have a sister in the games unless it’s added lore 👀

Mario movies get a 10% buffer because they’re animated and generally seen as a lesser art form by many critics. Or they can be lukewarm on them because they are more clearly for kids. If a live action video game movie is bad it gets sent to the shadow realm

The film was really enjoyable. Definitely a very loose plot with some structural and creative decisions I didn't quite like, but also clearly trying to improve on the critiques of the original whilst still trying to stay true to the tone and style of Mario's games.
