Listening to @AngelaMaiers talk about “you matter”. It took me until the end of last year to realize that my students needed to hear that out loud, from myself and each other. Starting adolescence can be lonelier and more isolating than we remember. #HiveSummit #HiveSummitD11

We want kids to be “lifelong learners” but if they see learning as only “a school thing” and academics they have limited or no interest in they are less likely to seek out the things they want to discover. #HiveSummit #HiveSummitD11

Moved classrooms from upstairs to downstairs, and now I’m on the outside wall of our school library! Hoping have the #classroombookaday board in this space will cause other classroom students to peruse the picture books we’ve read and ask for them when they visit the library.
