As a Coco fan I could spend ages talking about the flaws in Coco’s game, we’re not delusional we know her issues
But her net game isn’t one of them. We watched her climb the rankings becoming a teenage world number 1 in doubles with her biggest doubles asset being the net.

She’s making the most of it though, she was involved with the Nike x SKIMS launch with Kim K
And in terms of popularity I think she’s up there now as someone who would be recognised out on UK streets

@FlopMerchant There’s a reason why Emma ended up doing tennis out of all the sports she played as a kid. Lots of money in women’s tennis and virtually none in any other women’s sport. None in athletics for men either really

Look at Coco at RG last year there were so many threats in her draw and she ended up with an easy (ish) run to the final

@FlopMerchant In this form absolutely not I think the girls have stepped it up this yr in terms of consistency so she’ll have to beat the best to stand a chance. Elena & Aryna especially look unstoppable can add Muchova. Mboko & Pegula to that too as bad matchups

Having looked through all the split times from previous World Indoors, I can only find one which is faster than Hodgkinson’s 50.10. 49.89 - Nazarova (2004) 50.10 - Hodgkinson (2026) 50.12 - Kotlyarova (2004) 50.18 - Okolo (2018) 50.2 - Dixon (1991) 50.25 - Miles Clark (1997)
