@sippinondat @JoyOnBroad I’m just not a Matthews fan. Also Colorado had the 2nd worst power play and they’re doing fine. Everyone said signing Zegras would improve our power play but it didn’t. I’d rather stay the course than go back to gutting our youth for older players

@Flyerman313 @JoyOnBroad You’re wrong. One true elite 1C on a team with playoff quality pieces raises the ceiling significantly. Right now, our ceiling is 2nd round exit because of the weak power play and no 1C. Matthews solves both of our biggest weaknesses.

@phlyershockey @Ywolok I don’t think it’s the most important. Nothing available in free agency till next offseason. Just because we won a round in playoffs doesn’t mean it’s time to make big trades. Let these kids develop. They’ll be some setbacks. They’re not going to hurry the process.
