I wouldn’t have done a match, there has to be some level of self control. Just because Osprey is cleared, it doesn’t mean you throw him in a meaningless match the first Dynamite after his return. Save him, make him feel special. I would of started the show with the Death Riders coming out, have Jon Moxley cut a promo talking about Revolution then his history with Osprey then he could mention the Death Riders going after the Trios Titles. The DCF could come out (not all 100 members, just the main 4-5) you could reenforce the fact that DCF are still gunning for the Trios Titles, and you could mention Takeshita shaking Moxley’s hand and you can continue teasing the Okada and Takeshita feud and maybe tease an Okada/Moxley rematch for the CC Title. Something would cause a confrontation, security would come out and separate the 2 groups and among the security, Will Osprey is disguised and then starts going after the Death Riders and attacking security then Takeshita tries to hold Osprey back and Osprey takes him out. The segment would recap some things from Revolution and past history and it would also set up some future potential stories and matches. Most importantly, it would set up Will Osprey as this loose cannon, a vicious striker that’s ready to go at anyone in his way.

I saw the purpose behind Ospreay's match and its announcement, etc. I see what they accomplished. Ospreay looked great, called out Moxley, etc. What did you feel about the match? Was it needed? And the segment that followed it? #AEWDynamite

News is such an interesting subject because what actually is it. While some may say “News is just the presentation of facts” I personally think News is a presentation for discussion. There was a story with the initial comments, you could write a piece talking about Ricochet’s history on social media and if heel work on social media is beneficial to their overall character. Could also dedicate a portion of the article to help people understand MS and the struggles that come from it. I think there’s an avenue for your reporting to not necessarily report direct situations, but to actually create great discussions.

I’ll address both of you since you’ve both mentioned it. The initial tweet wasn’t covered on the website because of me. It’s not that I didn’t find it newsworthy, it’s that I was waiting for the story to unfold further. A lot of wrestlers say and do a lot of stupid things. Not all of it is covered for various reasons. It had nothing to do with AEW/Ricochet. It was the same thing with Logan Paul’s comments on Imane Khelif, Tiffany’s “black bitch” post, or Kevin Nash’s comments about Je’Von where we waited for the story to unfold before jumping on the initial comment. Maybe you don’t like that. That’s fine. We’ve had discussions about changing things and being better moving forward and we’ll continue to do so. The tweet didn’t go uncovered. The apology was covered because that was the endpoint (for now). But that post (if you read it) not only covered the initial tweet, but how he kept it up, his defensive response, his retweets, and his jokey Tom Hanks GIF to cover the full scope of things and not let him off the hook for the initial tweet along with a donation link. If you don’t like how we do things, that’s fine. We’re always trying to get better. Not because of people who dismiss our website daily and then get mad when they don’t like what we did or didn’t do. But because I’m always looking to learn and improve. Hope this helps and hope y’all stop bringing this point up to Sean.
