These incredible photos were emailed to me yesterday by Stephanie who visited New York City in 2000, on a school trip. They were taken in the “Pokémon-O-Rama” section at @FAOSchwarz during that holiday season. 💾

@LegendsCookbook Oh, absolutely. Pokémon was a success, sure, but not quite a solidified brand to be protected. They still play around some today but not quite like this.

@ZeldaUniverse I’ll always remember seeing this in a display box at my mall Kaybee Toys. Wild to preorder a game and then be handed a game!
It was a real treat a few years ago picking up a beat but loved copy of that display box!

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest was released in North America around this time, 23 years ago! It was included as a preorder bonus for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker on Nintendo GameCube.

I want to get this texture made into a floor laminate so people can call me a hypocrite as I think wood floor laminate is ugly and then reveal the deep lore and how broken of a person I am.
