How it feels to like the UFC 6 trailer

The UFC 6 trailer looked very good. The camera work does hide a lot, but you can still clearly see improvements in the striking animations. Three different fighters showed distinct head movement, which is a strong sign of increased fighter uniqueness. The straight punch looks reworked, especially in the way it snaps the opponent’s head back on impact. Even blocked head kicks appeared different, still causing visible damage and momentary stumbles. It also feels intentional that they chose to show a blocked head kick in the trailer. From people I know who have put serious hours into the game, the early feedback has been positive. Calling it “UFC 5.5” because of reused animations that did not need changing, like body drop animations or leg kick stumbles, seems unreasonable. It is better to wait and see what else is revealed.
