Frog Graham Round

First women's round of the year and we have a new fastest time! Lauren Munro-Bennett (Ambleside AC) set out to attack Grace Smith's fantastic time from last year and had to work hard to do it, eventually trimming over 10 minutes to finish in 12:08:09. Well done Lauren!

Some incredibly fast Frog Graham Rounds this season! The latest is from Jasmin Paris (Carnethy HRC) and Ellie Johnstone (Pennine FR) who on Saturday stormed round in 13:07, this is very quick and until recently would have claimed the women's fastest time. Outstanding!

New FGR Fastest Times: Phil Rutter (Helm Hill) improved on Richard Anderson's time of 10:25 to finish in 10:01 and was unlucky not to dip below the 10hr threshold. Grace Smith (Derwent AC) lowered Natalie Hawkrigg's time of 13:19 to 12:25, the first women to go below 13 hours.

Kudos to Black Combe Ladies "Frogwomen" who have just completed the first all-women LeapFrog Round, finishing in an impressive 14:37. Well done !! @bc_runners

Congratulations to Grace Smith of Derwent A.C. for her tremendous Frog Graham Round last weekend, she whizzed round in a very speedy 13:23 just 4 minutes behind Natalie Hawkrigg's 2019 record time. Well done Grace!

Congratulations are due to Mike Clayton who completed a successful solo round on Wednesday, becoming FGRC member 155. Mike zipped round in 14:02, this is fast for a solo round and it's worth highlighting that this was his second attempt in less than 10 days! Well done!

Natalie Hawkrigg who has just become the first woman to successfully complete a Winter Frog Graham Round. Natalie set off on Friday morning at 0600 and reached the Moot Hall in Keswick in a very respectable 15:46, an exceptionally good time for a winter round. Well done Natalie!

Phenomenal Frog Graham Round over the weekend from Calder Valley's Shaun Godsman, he flew round in 13:04, easily the fastest round of the year. Superb effort, well done!

Congratulations are due to Ellie Johnstone and Matt Dunemil of Pennine Fell Runners, both of whom completed the Frog Graham Round last weekend in truly foul conditions, reaching the Moot Hall in 16hrs 59 minutes. Outstanding effort!

Always good to see come back for another go and then absolutely nail it: Kevin Brooks had his second attempt at the FGR on Saturday and finished in a swift 15:35 becoming member 137, well done to him!

Jann Smith and Jane McCarthy of Ilkley Harriers did a superb Frog Graham Round over the weekend in very mixed conditions. The fastest clockwise rounds to date! Well done both, fantastic effort.

Congratulations to Niamh Lewis @lewis_niamh who recently completed her Frog Graham Round in 16hrs 32 minutes, becoming member 134 of a pretty exclusive club. Well done Niamh!

Please join us in congratulating Stephen Riggott and James Gregory on their Frog Graham Rounds on Weds 29 June. They finished together in 18hours 39minutes, becoming members 130 and 131 respectively, the first successful rounds of the year. Well done both and welcome to the club!

Beckstones Gill Path Closure - Update: The recommended ascent path up to Barf alongside Beckstones Gill has been restricted/closed for the past few months due to tree felling and path clearance. This could have a bearing on any FGR attempts taking place in the next few months.
