Claude Code rate limits are back to normal. Been vibe coding with Claude Opus 4.6 on Claude Code all morning. 27% session usage. 8% weekly. This time 3 days ago I'd be at 100% in under an hour. Anthropic cut off third party harnesses like OpenClaw today. $200 in extra usage hit my account. $200/month Max plan finally working like a $200/month Max plan. This is what we cancelled for. This is what thousands of us switched to Codex with GPT 5.4 for. Your wallet is the only feedback AI companies listen to. Never forget that.

This Claude ban is probably the worst news we've gotten in AI nonsense all year I think the solution is to just offload all tasks to Claude Cowork that you can and then use CodeX for the on Openclaw? They've basically banned thousands of people from using their AI to power the strongest AI "thing" that has come out in the last like 5 years People on the API: how cooked am I on costs running two Openclaws?

The truth is finally out. Anthropic just emailed every Claude subscriber. The rate limits weren't a bug. Third party tools like OpenClaw were putting "outsized strain" on their systems. Anthropic's fix? Cut them off. Starting April 4, third-party harnesses no longer get your subscription limits. Pay-as-you-go only. To make up for it, every subscriber gets a one time credit equal to their monthly subscription. I'm getting $200 in extra usage. This is huge. If this is what was killing Claude Code rate limits for Max plan users, tomorrow should feel like a completely different product. I'll be testing Claude Opus 4.6 all day and reporting back. Stay tuned.

Time to cancel @claudeai sub Starting April 4 at 12pm PT / 8pm BST, you’ll no longer be able to use your Claude subscription limits for third-party harnesses including OpenClaw. You can still use them with your Claude account, but they will require extra usage, a pay-as-you-go
