Things are just better in the Pech state. Political commentary for Georgians that don't live in Atlanta

Happy No Kings Day from Roswell, Georgia! #NoKings #voteblue

😱 Looks like slick Rick Jackson has turned his campaign into a runaway-train! 🚂 Following a joint event with Burt Jones, he has now declared he will no longer engage—and has begun blocking constituents while swiftly deleting any comment that dares speak the plain truth on X.… what kind of “fighter for the people” is he really? ‘Ol Ricky Rick can’t handle basic accountability now — imagine what he’d do with the power of the Governor’s office. One must ask: what sort of “fighter for the people” refuses to face a straightforward question? Georgia has always deserved leaders of steady character—men and women willing to confront the truth rather than silence it.

You’re aiming at the wrong target. 👉 Burt Jones is Lt. Gov—he runs the Senate floor, not the state. What he can do: ✔️ Assign committees ✔️ Move (or stall) legislation What he can’t do: ❌ Control state agencies (Regents, elections, etc.) ❌ Launch investigations ❌ Enforce policy Meanwhile… 👉 Governor of Georgia is one of the most powerful in the country: ✔️ Controls the budget ✔️ Appoints boards/commissions ✔️ Directs agencies ✔️ Applies pressure on legislation So if you’re raising issues about: Regents. Elections. Corruption. 👉 That’s executive branch territory. Georgia’s not a one-person problem—it’s a system of power, influence, and insiders across branches. Rick Jackson, whose wealth was aquired on the backs of Georgia taxpayers with no-bid contracts and healthcare manipulation, is Kemp 2.0.

My guess is Kemp, Raffensberger and Carr figured out a few months back that neither could beat Burt Jones. Kemp was owed favors for state contracts he had given Jackson. They know their freedom is secure with anyone BUT Jones. Both Carr and SoS will drop out soon and endorse Jackson.

Good morning from South Georgia! Kicked off the day at Morning by Morning Coffee Company in Perry with a great crowd. Grateful to Senator Larry Walker and Rep. @ShawBlackmon for joining us! The bus is rolling — next stop Tifton!

Georgia is famously this. Not whatever this map chose

Rick Jackson is fool’s gold. It looks real at first glance — polished messaging, outsider branding, “business success,” tough talk. But scratch the surface, and it’s something else entirely. Fool’s gold shines… but it has no real value. Jackson sells himself as an outsider. But the record tells a different story: 👉 A political insider 👉 Deep ties to the same swamp he claims to fight 👉 Massive donations to politicians — not to fix the system, but to work it That’s not reform. That’s buying influence inside the swamp. And what does that influence produce? ➡️ Personal wealth ➡️ Insider advantage ➡️ A louder megaphone — not better leadership Then there’s the temperament: Say something he doesn’t like? Blocked. Deleted. Gone. That’s not strength. That’s control. Georgia doesn’t need something that looks like gold. We need the real thing — leadership that listens to the people, not blocks them.

Not a dime! 😎 I have long harbored serious reservations about Rick Jackson, and my concerns have only deepened after careful review of the facts. The information I have uncovered is profoundly troubling, and I will not tolerate the ongoing gamesmanship. We have invested years of dedicated work to safeguard our state, and I remain firmly committed to that cause. I will not stand by and allow anyone entangled in these matters to undermine or jeopardize our state’s future.
