I see a lot of people saying, "If you don't like it, don't upgrade." and I've always believed that. But I'm not sure it is that simple. What is involved in patching and running the last pre-taproot versions of bitcoin core, around 0.21.0 or 0.20.0? My thoughts are this would probably be a lot more difficult than one would think.

Everyone saying filters "don't work" because spammers are just using op_return_bot to get around them? Yeah, op_return_bot has to charges ouble the regular fee rate or its bypass doesn't work reliably. This is a huge deterrent. The filters work. Source: github.com/benthecarman/O…
