@aprilhenrybooks Book store owner here. That seems really odd. We average 12 books sold per author event at our very small store. I would think most authors have at least 12 friends that would purchase their book. We have had parents of local authors come in and buy 10 copies at once.

OMG In the Penguin Random House/S&S antitrust trial it was revealed that out of 58,000 trade titles published per year, half of those titles sell fewer than one dozen books. LESS THAN ONE DOZEN.
