In 1953, the CIA helped overthrow Iran’s Prime Minister, Mohammad Mosaddegh. He was the first democratically elected Prime Minister of Iran. He nationalized the oil industry, taking it from the British so Iran could finally keep the profits for itself. Mosaddegh also stood up to foreign influence and strengthened parliament and democracy. He pushed for reforms to fight corruption and improve life for ordinary Iranians. His removal wasn't just politics, it ended a time when Iranians truly had a voice in their own future.

Bessent: In the coming days, we may unsanction the Iranian oil that's on the water. It's about 140 million barrels, so depending how you count it, that's 10 days to 2 weeks of supply, that the Iranians had been pushing out, that would have all gone to China. In essence, we'd be using the Iranian barrels against the Iranians to keep the price down for the next 10 or 14 days, as we continue this campaign. So, we have lots of levers.

If Biden or Kamala had won, and started a serious war with Iran, and asked Congress for $200 billion in the first 3 weeks, every single MAGA influencer would be calling them warmongers and demanding impeachment. Neocons would be happy, but the MAGA influencers would be enraged.
