We can only make assumptions especially after last year’s Switch 2 tax for some games and not others. Best Buy and some places put 70 as a placeholder until the MSRP was confirmed. Today’s news is just confirmation.

As someone who has covered Destiny for over a decade, D2 concluded in Final Shape. Not to say that EoF or Renegades don’t have lore importance, but it’s not Light and Darkness Saga. The next real saga should be told in a D3.

Exactly. People think people are just randomly hating on Marathon to fail, no. It’s coming from people who played Bungie games like Destiny before & have been proven time & again that Bungie doesn’t care about delivering what you want. They killed Destiny 2 effectively for this. So no it’s not some random “hurrrr I hate Marathon cause it’s cool” no. They gave up on the people who brought them success. Undervalued, under delivered & abused their good will for too long. So people walked away. Anything else is cope & they know it. Marathon is failing because of Bungie being Bungie. That’s all it is.

@TheSkyKingu @DarkIxion @Aztecross The best time to have started D3 was then. The second best time to do it is now. Adding content to D2 and getting zero or negative return on it is not sustainable. Putting D2 on pause and getting a D3 and having an actual chance to succeed is the best solution.

You people are so dense yes they SHOULD have but who the fuck is going to make it now after 2 rounds of firing and the majority of the company on marathon? In a perfect world they put out D3 after final shape but that didn’t happen so now they need money or D3 isn’t happening and unless marathon is the new bread winner they need destiny 2 to make money while they start D3 but that hasn’t happened yet as far as we know! They literally just fired half like half the company last year did y’all forget??

@TheSkyKingu @DarkIxion @Aztecross You can't remove all the content in D2 and replace it with new content. There is no expansion that is going to put 4 new full size locations, 10 new PVP maps, 6 new strikes, and a new raid on top of everything we have already in D2.

@TheSkyKingu @DarkIxion @Aztecross In a few weeks, they're going to introduce Pantheon 2.0. they're gonna bring up old content with some minor new mechanics and fresh perks, but it doesn't fundamentally change the game. We need new, not refreshed. Even with new stuff, EoF and Renegades is a refresh, not change.

And you'd have to replace strikes, PVP maps, etc. I don't want to have to do Arms Dealer strike, even refreshed from Lightfall, again. I don't want to play on Jav-4 again. I need new stuff. /2

@TheSkyKingu @DarkIxion @Aztecross At a specific point, you can't just keep adding content. You need something new. I'm tired of the EDZ & Nessus. It also doesn't make sense to keep fighting House Salvation & Dusk & Red Legion still lore wise. A new number means new regions and activities and (hopefully) enemies.
