Is it not the same logic for abortion a Down syndrome baby, for aborting an unwanted baby? The reasoning only matters so far as you are doing a good thing.

The reaction of large swathes of the online right to the glibly publicized abortion of a child has nauseated me, almost as much as the incident itself. A secular, “post-Christian” right would be entirely abandoned to the worst impulses of inhumane cruelty, hatred, and resentment.
