@sandieshoes Yes already a lot of millionaires have left the country pre-emptively - many more will go if/when Labour are elected There will be less money not more to spend Whole idea of non-dom was to attract the mega rich to invest in the UK providing wealth & jobs.

Once again this tired feckless government give Starmer the headlines on a Sunday morning. He’s talking NHS & says he’ll use the money from stopping the Non Dom status. No Tory out there saying a new report shows the wealthy are literally running for the hills & leaving the U.K.

After 20+ years of govt legislative restricting ever-more of what we are permitted to do in our lives, I really, really would appreciate a govt which believed in REDUCING the burden of legislation and put increasing freedom ahead of imposing further restrictions.

@bedford_colleen Sadly, I have been here since early September and I am likely to be here, or on a rehab unit, until the end of February I have AML, but, fortunately, with a mutation which makes chemotherapy particularly effective, so a bone marrow transplant *may* not be needed.

@chrometrane Probably. Who's been grotesquely incompetent in running & managing the NHS+ it's not politicians, it's NHS senior staff.

The 'Envy of the world' Royal Shrewsbury Hospital has had NO hot water on my ward for the last FOUR days, with a number of hand-washing sinks having no water AT ALL.

@FosM25 I don't believe so, though that apparently had an effect on other parts of Shrewsbury Just spoken to the nursing staff (5:30am observations!) and the problem seems to be on just a few wards.

@HD2onPBdotcom Anything to do with the flooding over that way?

@DavidHo34435012 That's truly appalling: you have my very deepest sympathies for what happened.

@HD2onPBdotcom My father died at this hospital quite a few years ago but I was appalled at the lack of care and attention he got whilst in great distress. Even after complaining the attitude of the staff on duty was utterly without compassion and he died crying out for help.

@HurstLlama It is indeed: they use a kettle to provide hot water for my morning wash & shave.

@HD2onPBdotcom Same at the Royal Sussex County. 8 blokes on my ward, shower broken, one sink, cold water only, & no plug, one W.C.. To wash & shave you have to get a nurse to bring a cardboad basin of hot water to your bed. It is third world care.

Starmers ‘self-referral’ is farcical. I think it’s called private insurance! As if consultants would put up with hoards of us wanting to see them and insisting, just to be on the safe side. Selling a pipe dream. Just open up the doctors again will be a good enough start!

Too many MPs spend their time dreaming up new taxes, bans and complex rules. We need to allow people freedom to live their lives and supply more goods and services. High tax bossy government puts off enterprise and drives the successful abroad.
