With a heavy heart, I came here to tell you that 6-year-old Yevheniia has died in hospital. Her injuries from the Russian strike were too severe.
Her 20-year-old sister, Dasha, shielded her with her own body - she was killed on the spot.
The parents lost both of their daughters. They were also injured.
Deepest condolences...

These are sisters Dasha, 20, and Yevheniia, 6. During a Russian strike on Ochkyne in Sumy region, Dasha covered Yevheniia with her body to protect her younger sister. Dasha was killed by the Russian strike, Yevheniia is in hospital in critical condition, doctors are fighting for her life. The girls' parents were also injured. Deepest condolences. Because there are no coffins, people are being buried in bags. The bodies of the dead arenโt being removed โ theyโre just left on the roadsides. Locals say that along the highway toward Crimea, there are bodies that dogs are already eating. No one knows if they are civilians or military.
People are even afraid to stop on the road because they risk coming under drone attack, so they donโt approach the bodies.
Itโs unknown how many people have died in their own homes from cold, hunger, illness, and exhaustion. Neighbors often donโt find them right away.
Burial is a separate problem. There are no coffins in the city at all. Earlier they brought in russian โpaperโ coffins โ we called them that, but at least they were something. Now there are none. So people are buried in bags.
And another horror: men are disappearing. russian soldiers just take them away, and no one knows what happens to them next.

We are not just carrying out strikes on Russia. We are responding.
After the global energy crisis began, we received signals from some partners requesting that we reduce our responses targeting Russiaโs oil and energy sector. I emphasize once again: if Russia is ready not to strike Ukraineโs energy infrastructure, we will not retaliate to theirs.
We are open to discussing any type of ceasefireโa full ceasefire, an energy ceasefire, a food security ceasefire. We have already proposed all of this, and we are still open. If the Russians are ready, let them suggest any timeframeโwe are ready to resolve this issue.

On day one of a new SNP government, I will demand powers over energy to be transferred to the Scottish Parliament - so we can cut bills, protect jobs and unlock investment.
If Westminster will not bring your bills down, they should get out of the way for a government that will.

@JohnSwinney In EU, who generally have much higher tax rates, they subsidise consumer electricity and gas prices. I would rather I donโt give more taxes and choose what I spend. The SNP will take it all.

Zelenskyy: People keep saying Ukraine can't win because Russia is nuclear power. Then what security guarantees should Ukraine get to counterbalance nuclear state? NATO? Nuclear weapons? If so, just say it directly: "We will give you NATO membership and a nuclear deterrent." But no one has offered that. What frustrates me most is that no one speaks to Russia with the same urgency: "Russia, you must back down, compromise, and end this war now, because people are dying." As you see, no one talks to them like that.

In 2013, a 3-year-old boy fell down a 49ft well in Romania. Firefighters spent 11 hours trying to get him out but couldnโt. They said it was too narrow and he couldnโt be rescued.
Then a 14-year-old seventh grader, who had just gotten home from school, volunteered to go down. They tied ropes around his waist, lowered him into the well, and he came back up with the little boy.
