✅ Update: Claremont Access Reopened The Claremont Access has now reopened in both directions. Crews were able to clear the vehicles and the roadway after earlier icy conditions. Thank you to the City of Hamilton crews for attending to treat the road. Please continue to drive with caution as road conditions remain icy in some areas. #HamOnt

⚠️ Traffic Advisory – Claremont Access Closed (Both Directions) The Claremont Access is temporarily closed in both directions due to extremely icy road conditions. Several vehicles have become stuck and crews are currently working to clear them from the roadway. Hamilton Police are on scene, and the City of Hamilton has been notified and is dispatching salt trucks to treat the road. ✅ UPDATE – SIR WINSTON CHURCHILL S.S. The lockdown at Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School has now been lifted. Hamilton Police attended and conducted a thorough investigation after a threatening phone call was received. No evidence of a credible threat was found. Police are continuing to investigate the origin of the call. We thank students, staff, parents, and the community for their patience and cooperation.

🚨 POLICE PRESENCE – SIR WINSTON CHURCHILL S.S. Hamilton Police are responding to a threatening phone call directed at Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School. As a precaution, the school has been placed in lockdown while officers investigate. Police are on scene working closely with school administration to ensure the safety of students and staff. At this time, there is no confirmed threat, however the call is being taken seriously. We ask the public to avoid the area while officers complete their investigation.
