"well documented to be undeniable" For atrocities committed in the DPRK come from grainy satellite images and hearsay based on defectors, which are known to be an unreliable source and paid propagandists. The rest of the information about atrocities in the DPRK literally come from anonymous sources... want me to dunk on you idiot more?

@AliceBright_ To your credit I think the tankie atrocities are well enough documented to be undeniable to even half of the tankies who go "it happened and it was based ackshually" Anarchists aren't the only leftists though with progressives and socdems and others out there being a first step

"You like left infighting!" Yes. "Left unity" only benefits tankies by making us stay silent about their atrocities and bad opinions. They scare away potential communists. I'm only loyal to anarchist unity. Baby leftists should begin their journey with anarchism, not stateslop

@AliceBright_ Us tankies reject left unity, you anarchists believe in anti-communist propaganda about communist "atrocities" hence why we reject left unity.

Mainland China and Hong Kong have different legal/electoral systems because HK was a former British colony returned under special terms. Thats the whole point of the Basic Law and one country two systems. And thats why I stopped using HK as the example. For mainland China, use mainland people’s congress elections.

@HandsOffDPRK China has better democratic system than Hong Kong? Why doesn't China ask Hong Kong to follow?

Same country, still a different system. Hence why I prefer to use another example now. Mainland China is the better example...local peoples congress deputies at county/township level are directly elected, then higher congresses are elected upward indirectly. thus china is democratic.

The national bourgeoisie was allowed to exist temporarily to try and build up the means of productions from an semi-feudal one into an modern day one and once that happened they were supposed to dissapear during the phase of actual existing socialism marxists.org/reference/arch… this sadly did not happen as revisionists took power, but this is not a fault with Maos theories, its just that the theories need to evolve and develop more further to prevent such revisionists from taking power. also there is no guarantee that modern china has fully abandoned the socialist path...as I explained in the first bit here.

Mao says that national struggle should ally with the "revolutionary" national bourgeoisie. Nationalism is class collaboration

@HandsOffDPRK No, just the Hong Kong one. You bring up Hong Kong so I just want to focus on Hong Kong electoral conference.

It rejects them because anarchists think national liberation fronts usually hand power to the local bourgeoisie after the imperialists leave. But that doesn't prove Mao wrong. Mao already said the national bourgeoisie is unstable and only useful “at certain periods and to a certain degree.” After national liberation is complete the overthrow of the national bourgeois will happen.

@HandsOffDPRK That's why you need to prove your point. Retweeting what you say is not proving. I need you to simply tell me the date of the last election for the electoral conference by the masses.

The FAQ basically says anarchists oppose imperialism, but they also oppose nationalism and national liberation fronts. So they support oppressed people fighting domination, but they dont support teaming up with the national bourgeoisie or building a new state. This source does not prove Mao is fascist or wrong. It only proves anarchists reject Mao’s united front strategy

@GeorgeFSinclair If I was the leader of north korea and met with the leader of south korea which is Kim Dae-jung would I meet him? Yes, because diplomatic relations are not an alliance.

@HandsOffDPRK Maybe you don't understand my question. Let me ask you this way. If you were the general secretary of the workers party of korea and Kim Dae-jung was the president at that time, what would you do? Would you willingly meet him?

@GeorgeFSinclair It wasn't made up though... chinas mass elections are held at a local level, those local politicians start electing their leadership and create an intra-party democracy. x.com/HandsOffDPRK/s…
Tankie ☭@HandsOffDPRK

there are different types and forms of elections. China does have mass elections, but mainly at the lowest levels: county, township, town, etc. China’s own government says deputies to county- and township-level people’s congresses are directly elected by voters, while deputies above county level are elected indirectly by the people’s congress at the next lower level. Source: english.www.gov.cn/news/202503/06… Those who get elected engage in whats called an intra-party democracy which start electing their leadership of the party english.www.gov.cn/archive/china_… If the leader is bad you change leadership not the party

@GeorgeFSinclair I created an hypothetical scenario because its the best way to answer your question that did not make sense. What is north korea supposed to do to a person in the south? It only makes sense if they were in the north.

@FreedomFlaming0 Alliance with the enemy is temporary, the same way with Maos alliance with the KMT was temporary. History has not exonerated your assertion as history shows Mao coming on top of the KMT. The anarchist FAQ does not disprove anything.

@HandsOffDPRK You can't prevent this when you ally with and rely on your enemy. History exonerates my assertion. I'm done with this conversation until you read the full national liberation section of the Anarchist FAQ and wish to respond to its arguments
