Still have your absentee ballot? To avoid any postal delays and to make sure your vote is counted, return your ballot in person to:
• your clerk’s office
• your nearest dropbox
• your early voting site or polling place
Get all that information and more at Michigan.gov/vote. And don’t forget to sign your ballot before you drop it off! 🗳️ #mivotematters

False and misleading claims about our elections may make salacious social media posts. But they don’t hold up in court.
And today we won, again.
I’m grateful that the US District Court today validated our vigorous work to maintain the accuracy of Michigan’s voter rolls in accordance with state and federal law, dismissing a lawsuit designed to plant false seeds of doubt about the integrity of my work and our elections.
Let me be clear: We have secure elections in Michigan. Our state’s bipartisan, professional election officials work with my team every day to ensure every valid vote – and only valid votes – count in this and every election.
As we head into the final days of the 2024 election we will continue to serve the people of Michigan with a commitment to telling truth, stating the facts, following the law, and operating with transparency. To those with other interests and agendas, some advice: next time you’re in a hole, stop digging.

The truth, the law, and the facts are on the side of the voters. We will continue to speak out about the truth and the law, and let people know the facts about our elections, which you can check out at Michigan.gov/electionfacts. Thank you, @AlexWitt and @MSNBC for this thoughtful conversation. #mivotematters

Hi @elonmusk 👋🏼
In Michigan we tell the truth and we follow the law.
I suggest you do the same.
For everyone else: michigan.gov/ElectionFacts
Elon Musk@elonmusk
Jocelyn Michelle Benson, shame on you for blatantly lying to the public! You only plan to remove the ineligible voters AFTER this election. That necessarily means that there are far more people registered to vote than there eligible voters.

Did you know: Michigan is ranked 5th in the nation by the @EACgov
for our work to ensure accurate voter registration rolls? 💫
That’s because we’ve done more in last five years to improve the accuracy of our voter rolls than in the previous two decades. Including:
✅ partnering with other states to ID and remove voters who have moved.
✅ identifying & removing voters who have died using voter registration data and Social Security death data.
✅ sending a statewide mailing to every registered voter to identify and begin the process of removing outdated records.
This and more enabled the Bureau of Elections to cancel more than 800,000 outdated records since 2019 and identify more than 600,000 others slated for cancellation in 2025 and 2027 once the legally required two-federal election cycle period has passed.

Let’s be clear: @elonmusk is spreading dangerous disinformation.
Here are the facts:
There aren’t more voters than citizens in Michigan. There are 7.2 million active registered voters and 7.9 citizens of voting age in our state.
Musk is pushing a misleading number that includes 1.2 million inactive records slated for removal in accordance with the law.
Don’t feed the trolls. Get trusted info at Michigan.gov/ElectionFacts

Michigan has more registered voters than eligible citizens!? Is that true @CommunityNotes?

Donald Trump might not remember where he is right now so here’s a quick reminder about what Detroit’s all about. This is the greatest city in the country & we’ve bounced back after Trump killed our jobs, closed our businesses, & tried to throw out our votes. #Detroit threw Trump out of the White House last time and we’ll do it again.
