There is a massive contradiction at the heart of housing in NYC: Everyone says they want more affordable housing. But when we propose an actual project at a specific location it's often opposed. This is happening now in uptown Manhattan, on 145th St. and Amsterdam Ave. 🧵

This is not how government is supposed to work. It presumes ill-will between the citizens of New York City and those (like you) who purport to be "public servants."
