Charly Boy Area Fada 1
Charlyboy don carry me enter some places wey I no belive say I fit enter in my life. On dis Palm Sunday I followed my oga to go see OBJ. As I sit down in the same room with the Baba today I saw two men. Two generations. One room but plenty history inside. Both of dem going through letters. Invites. Discussing Names wey matter. People wey go show face for the Lunch of 999, The Memoir of charlyboy. Baba pick pen, just dey do correction for the letters and invites. Not as former president, but as elder wey understand structure, timing, weight of things. At one point, I just smile. For me it was the bounding and interactions with two outstanding men. This one no be politics. This na respect. This na belief. Between, Man wey the world don know finish wey put hand for something wey people still dey try understand. Baba, on behalf of charlyboy dey invite people by himself. Not because he needs to but because he believe and he loves the brand. And I dey watch my oga charlyboy like son wey dey learn again from him father. Life funny. One man wey world don know. Another man wey world think say dem know but dem never even scratch surface and when dem join hand like this, you go see something wey no dey regular. This thing wey dey come, no be small. People go enter and come out different. Because sometimes, when experience meet vision, something new dey born. Baba will jokingly call charlyboy a jagrajagre person, charlyboy go clap bk and say, Na u dey teach me. It was a beautiful experience to watch these two men full of respect and admiration for one another.

Let us do the maths that Nigerians cannot afford to do. The President of Nigeria travels with a fleet of ten aircraft. Six jets. Four helicopters. All maintained at public expense. All managed by the Nigerian Air Force. All funded without full public line-item explanation to the taxpayer, in a way that a bag of cement never escapes. The man buying it counts every naira. In April 2024 he flew to the Netherlands. His main jet, the Boeing 737, was in Germany for repairs. It had been parked at EuroAirport Basel since March 25. While it sat there the Nigerian government paid €5,000 a day in parking fees. By the time the president landed in the Netherlands, the parking bill alone was €165,000. The second jet he was travelling on developed a fault. An oxygen leak. In the Netherlands. Ten aircraft in the fleet and two were broken simultaneously. So the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Giant of Africa, the most populous black nation on earth, left The Hague on a chartered Falcon 8X registered in Malta. His ministers flew commercial. He arrived in Saudi Arabia for the World Economic Forum. The forum where he was to represent Nigeria’s economic interests. On a rented plane. Within weeks the House of Representatives Committee on National Security and Intelligence recommended buying new aircraft. The solution to a broken fleet was not to fix what was broken. It was to spend more. N150 billion later, a refurbished Airbus A330 arrived. The presidency’s spokesman said it would save Nigeria millions in maintenance costs yearly. It was flown to South Africa to get Nigerian colours painted on it. While it was away, the President used a jet registered in San Marino, a microstate with a population smaller than Surulere. Ten aircraft. N26 billion spent in 18 months to maintain them. Half of them broken at any given time. One new one bought for N150 billion. One old one parked in Switzerland for sale. Three seized by a French court over a Chinese debt Nigeria had not settled. And somewhere in Lagos, a vessel the budget called a presidential yacht arrived at the waterfront. The National Assembly said no. The government said it was for the Navy. Multiple sources said it was already there. The presidency said nothing more. The average Nigerian cannot board an Okada, a motorcycle taxi, in peace. Cannot fix a pothole on their street. Cannot find antivenom in the capital city. Cannot afford a bag of cement that has doubled in price. Cannot buy a tokunbo Corolla that now costs what a civil servant earns in three years. But their taxes maintain ten aircraft, half of them grounded, for a president who still had to charter a foreign plane when two of them broke down on the same trip. This is not a story about jets. It is a story about what a government considers essential and what it considers expendable. The jets are essential. You are expendable. And if the maths does not apply to you, you know exactly what you are the exception to. 🐝🐆

Thank you all for the massive love you’ve shown me. Let me properly introduce myself and answer some of your questions. My name is Ifesinachi. My father, of blessed memory, was from Awgu Local Government in Enugu State. His name was Chidi. My mother is from Menchum Division in the Northwest Province of Cameroon, an English-speaking region with its own native dialects. I was born in Enugu, actually in my village. After my birth, my parents returned to Cameroon, but at the age of 4 or 5, I was brought back to Enugu and left in the care of my grandparents. My father wanted me to grow up grounded in my culture and identity. Living with my grandparents shaped me deeply. I followed them to the farm, sat with them in meetings, and stayed close enough to learn, not just by being told, but by observing and experiencing. That was how I absorbed Igbo language, culture, and traditions. Yes, I speak Igbo fluently, and I write it as well. After about three years, I moved to Enugu city where I completed my primary, secondary, and tertiary education, though I traveled between Nigeria and Cameroon over the years. My father was very intentional about my roots, I spoke Igbo with him and English with my mother, though she understands and speaks Igbo very well. In fact, she has embraced Igbo culture beautifully, she cooks our food and understands our omenala deeply. I don’t feel “half Igbo.” I feel fully Igbo, because I was raised in Igbo land, shaped by its values, and rooted in its identity. Everything I share about culture comes from lived experience, not just observation. Thank you again for the love. If you have more questions, I’m open to answering.

One of the APC leaders in Bayeku, Ikorodu where my farm is located recently died. He was sharing rice to their supporters when he collapsed. To rush him to the Ikorodu General Hospital was a problem due to the bad road network between Bayeku and Igbogbo. When they finally made it to the hospital, they were informed that doctors were on strike. Na so baba take go.

Several people lost their lives during 2023 Kano State governorship elections due to political violence between Ganduje & Kwankwaso supporters. The Kwankwaso supporters who lost their lives d!€d because they wanted Abba to win because he was with Kwankwaso. The Ganduje supporters who lost their lives d!€d because they wanted Gawuna to win because he was with Ganduje. Today, those people are not alive to witness Gawuna become Kwankwaso’s boy while Abba becomes Ganduje’s boy. Never ever waste your precious life for these people.

Omo! The Arewa youth are taking the 2027 elections personal. Bola Tinubu and the APC are in serious trouble! A group of youths is voluntarily moving from community to community with loudspeakers, warning and begging their people, particularly women not to sell their votes to Bola Tinubu and the APC in 2027, while clearly explaining the serious implications that will follow. This is the kind of energy I love to see!

It's true APC is taking care of Cubana Chief Priest. The gullible guy hasn't asked himself why APC is not taking care of those who are poor with no electricity, good roads, security and are dying daily from terrorism but is trying to use him to deceive those poor people to gain votes in the upcoming elections. He's not just taking care of him but he ran to APC just to protect his business.
