This is an extremely good lecture - the enormously impressive @AmandineGarde examines and challenges sharp practices within food, alcohol and tobacco industries from a legal perspective. It's being recorded so worth watching when you get the chance
Behaviour Change by Design@BehavChangeDsgn

Governments should create healthy food environments, taking the best interest of the child as a primary consideration. How can we use litigation to hold industry to account for their harmful practices? @AmandineGarde at the @BehavChangeDsgn Annual Lecture

Thrilled to share that our work examining the effects of #stress on inhibitory control in binge-eating disorders is now out in @SfNJournals 🎉🧠 🧵 on the key takeaways to follow ...
SfN Journals@SfNJournals

Stress alters brain activity in self-inhibition areas yet doesn’t trigger binge-eating, according to new #JNeurosci research on #EatingDisorders from @maggieeastfire et al. @HealthNeuro @psychiatry_ucam jneurosci.org/lookup/DOI/10.…

We will also be running this in the SPICE study of gastrectomy, obesity, and eating with our colleagues at @HealthNeuro and @psychiatry_ucam. And if course we will be looking at respiratory interoception in a whole array of other populations.

Really nice paper outlining the perils of treating the abstract mathematical model as though it were a worldly entity and thereby, inadvertently, "smuggling in unwarranted metaphysical assumptions" (of course, this form of epistemic legerdemain is not the sole preserve of FEP)

Just saw that my hugely-valued colleague and friend @HZiauddeen was named "Communicator of the Year" by the Royal College of Psychiatrists. I'm horribly biased but anyone can see that this is such a well-deserved award.
