I know these children. It is SO WRONG their childhoods are destroyed, yet THEIR compensation is insignificant compared to legal aid paid to lawyers representing these monsters! 😡

Trauma recovery is consistently swapping out "I can't do this" for "I'm struggling to do this right now, but I'm gonna give myself the time & space & grace I need with it."
Self-talk isn't the whole ball game, but it's one of our frontline recovery tools. Don't sleep on it.

He has no morality and no credibility.
This is intolerable. If he won't go he should be arrested for admitting to covering up a heinous crime.

I’ve been a tad quiet of late, and this is why.
It’s not lost on me how fortunate I am to know my daughter will be born in a country that still values women and their rights, and I will fight to keep & elevate those rights for her until my last breath 💕

To those saying comments like "oh good more money for those who contribute nothing" - check ur facts!
40% of UC claimants are the working poor others are carers, have disabilities or illness, & some who don't have work, want it. A little more compassion & less judgement wouldn't hurt.

Just spotted.... this is a good change for benefits recipients, deductions can be soul-destroying. #budget "Caps deductions made through Universal Credit at 15% of the standard allowance. Before this Budget, it was 25%... approximately 1.2 million households will keep more of their Universal Credit payment each month, with households expected to be better off by an average of over £420 a year"

On behalf of trauma survivors everywhere: yes, we too are sick of hearing about our trauma. We're sick of hearing it from the inside of our goddamn head-- & also seeing it in our dreams, feeling it in our body, & wrestling w/ it in our relationships.
We agree, it's exhausting.

If you're being migrated from ESA to Universal Credit and are asked to provide fit notes or sign a claimant commitment, contact Citizens Advice or a similar as soon as possible. You should be moved directly to something called LCWRA, but the DWP is making errors. Jay X
