Is it true that "Taiwan has been a part of China since ancient times", as Beijing often claims? No, not at all. Here are some inconvenient facts which most people don't know. I invite the swarm of CCP trolls to try to unpick them. ✅ FACT: Before 1624, Taiwan was inhabited by indigenous Malay-Austronesian populations with no official Chinese administrative presence. ✅ FACT: The Dutch established formal administrative control over Taiwan in 1624, which was recognised by Ming Dynasty representatives as being "beyond [Chinese] territory." The Dutch found no evidence of Chinese administrative control. ✅ FACT: In 1662, the Ming loyalist Koxinga expelled the Dutch after himself being expelled from the mainland. He founded an independent kingdom, seeking to reestablish Ming rule. But the Ming Dynasty itself had already collapsed. This was not rule by "China". ✅ FACT: From 1683 to 1887, Taiwan was managed as a province of Fujien; but Emperor Kangxi considered Taiwan beyond his domain. Indeed, he said as much: ‘Taiwan is outside our empire and of no great consequence.’ There were popular revolts throughout this period. ✅ FACT: Taiwan was formally administered as a province of China for eight years, from 1887 until it was ceded to Japan in 1895. This is the only such period. Shorter than the Dutch. ✅ FACT: Following the 1895 Treaty of Shimonoseki, the Qing Empire ceded Taiwan to Japan "in perpetuity". ✅ FACT: Local leaders briefly declared an independent Formosa Republic in 1895 to resist Japanese rule, but the Japanese shut this down within five months. ✅ FACT: Between 1926 and 1942, both the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the Kuomintang (KMT) supported independence for Taiwan, viewing it similarly to Korea (as an essential part of an anti-Japanese military strategy). ✅ FACT: The CCP changed its mind. After WW2, the party coalesced around an effort to reclaim "lost territories". In 1943 Cairo and 1945 Potsdam declarations were issued which, while not formal treaties, maintained that "all the territories Japan has stolen from the Chinese, such as Manchuria, Formosa (Taiwan), and the Pescadores, shall be restored to the Republic of China". The 1951 San Francisco Peace Treaty left Taiwan’s legal status "undetermined." ✅ FACT: The People's Republic of China (established 1949) has never, in any capacity, exercised control over Taiwan. As to the territorial claim of what constitutes "China", worthy of note is the highly variable claims to territory (not to mention autonomy and governance structures) over even the past 150 years. See below.

Will be providing another historical parallel on wars this week. In the meantime, here is another map resource you can use to do some OSINT on the current operations in Iraq. There are many other sets that allow you to see overlays of historical maps across the globe superimposed over current satellite imagery to really get a good idea of changes over time. (Yes, I am obsessed with maps). soaratlas.com/discover?…

In investigation work "where you begin the conversation" or "where you start your timeline" is critical to including or eliminating critical data and suspects. The chart bellow focusing on the FBI during thee postwar period only omits the large scale foundation and framework on behavioral control that predated and was orders of magnitude greater than the FBI. That continuum was conducted by the Rockefeller Foundation network.
Tony Seruga@TonySeruga

🚨 From MK‑Ultra to TikTok: How the FBI Turned America Into an 80‑Year Human Experiment in Behavior Control It's bad. It's really, really bad! ☠️ For nearly eight decades, the FBI has occupied a quiet but critical place in the U.S. government’s covert history of human experimentation — not as a laboratory operator, but as the domestic enforcer and later data‑controller of programs that blurred the line between psychological research and social control. The story begins in the 1940s, when Operation Paperclip imported wartime scientists whose “behavioral defense” research seeded CIA and FBI interest in manipulating minds rather than merely gathering intelligence. Through the 1950s and 60s, the CIA’s MK‑Ultra and its sister projects experimented with LSD, hypnosis, and trauma to probe human compliance, while the FBI safeguarded the secrecy of these projects, tracking exposed subjects and silencing leaks. When public outrage forced the CIA underground, the Bureau stepped to the front with COINTELPRO, turning psychological warfare into domestic policy. Civil rights leaders, anti‑war activists, and intellectuals became involuntary participants in field experiments measuring how misinformation, surveillance, and constant pressure could fracture identity and morale. After congressional investigations exposed these programs in the 1970s, Washington promised reform. Instead, the experiments were rebranded. The newly minted Behavioral Science Unit at Quantico continued studying manipulation, now under the respectable banner of “criminal profiling.” By the 1980s and 1990s, advances in electromagnetic and non‑lethal technologies blended psychology with engineering, creating the next frontier of “compliance research.” FBI participation in DoD’s directed‑energy testing signaled the fusion of biophysics and behavioral science — invisible influence instead of interrogation. In the 21st century, the entire apparatus migrated online. Under post‑9/11 counterterrorism authorities, the Bureau began feeding massive civilian datasets into AI systems funded by DARPA and IARPA. Programs like Behavioral Sentiment Correlation Analytics and Applied Behavioral Influence Operations tested predictive algorithms able to sense, model, and nudge human emotion in real time. What began as Cold‑War hypnosis evolved into algorithmic conditioning — a seamless, 24‑hour experiment conducted through social media feeds, biometric data, and digital surveillance. Declassified records and FOIA logs corroborate every phase of this metamorphosis: original MK‑Ultra memoranda, COINTELPRO field directives, Behavioral Science Unit research papers, and more recent entries describing “neuroresponse” and “human domain analytics.” Each stage shows identical DNA — experimentation first justified by national security, sanitized by new terminology, and perpetuated through the fusion of intelligence agencies, defense contractors, and big data. The human body gave way to the human algorithm, yet the same pattern endures: consent absent, accountability nonexistent, secrecy absolute. Today, the architecture of mass behavioral influence operates seamlessly behind the interfaces of phones, search engines, and social platforms. While officials claim these are protective counter‑extremism tools, their lineage reveals something darker — a civilization‑scale experiment measuring how far perception can be engineered before people even realize they’re subjects in a test.

Liturgical Day in Post-Vatican II Norms The key statement comes from the Universal Norms on the Liturgical Year and the General Roman Calendar (promulgated by Pope Paul VI in 1969 as part of implementing Vatican II's liturgical reforms, specifically building on Sacrosanctum Concilium): "The liturgical day runs from midnight to midnight. However, the celebration of Sunday and of solemnities begins already on the evening of the previous day." catholicculture.org/culture/librar…

What are the odds? Yesterday evening for the first time since 33 AD the Pesach Seder (Passover Dinner) that was the Last Supper in the Catholic tradition, align together with the exact day (Wednesday evening). There have been no exact occurrences of the full triple alignment (full moon + Pesach/15 Nisan starting at sundown + Holy Thursday in the earlier Catholic traditional sundown reckoning) on a Wednesday night since 33 AD The modern fixed rabbinic Jewish calendar includes postponement rules (dehiyot) that prevent 15 Nisan from falling on certain weekdays in ways that would conflict with other observances (such as avoiding Rosh Hashanah or Yom Kippur on prohibited days). These rules make some alignments that might have been possible in the more flexible ancient observed lunar calendar (used in the 1st century) impossible or extremely rare today. 2026 marks the first such occurrence in the modern era under the calendars of both faiths. The combination of lunar timing, weekday rules, and Easter offset simply did not converge again from when Christ was crucified until now. Near-misses have happened (Passover on Wednesday evenings or full-moon alignments with Holy Week), but not the complete triple start on the same Wednesday night. *Important for understanding how understanding how time is measured in a historical context is key. In the pre 1960s Catholic tradition, the day began at Sundown just like in the Jewish tradition. After the 1960s, when specific guidance was issued that the day begins at midnight, that was separated.

Many Americans may not realize it, but one of the deepest roots of Japan’s strong pro-American sentiment goes back to a single historic encounter with the United States — about 170 years ago. In the peaceful, isolated world of Edo Japan, a young fisherman named Nakahama Manjiro was shipwrecked in 1841. Rescued by an American whaling ship, he crossed the Pacific, learned English in the United States, embraced American freedom, and mastered whaling skills. When he returned home years later, his stories of America quietly stirred even the skeptical hearts of Japanese officials. Then, in the summer of 1853, Commodore Matthew Perry steamed into Uraga Bay with four “Black Ships” — powerful steam-powered warships belching smoke and bristling with modern cannons. His mission was clear and bold: deliver a letter from President Fillmore requesting friendship, trade, and safe harbor for American sailors whose whaling ships roamed the Pacific. After careful negotiation, on March 31, 1854, the Treaty of Kanagawa was signed. Two Japanese ports opened, shipwrecked mariners would be protected, and a new era of exchange quietly began. What started from the practical needs of American whalers became something far greater. While other nations often arrived with colonization or force, America’s approach helped Japan awaken to the wider world and modernize on its own terms — forging the vibrant, capable, and steadfast ally we cherish today. To many Japanese, decisive leaders like Commodore Perry, General MacArthur, and even today’s bold American figures resonate deeply. They admire the spirit of vision, strength, and action. The drifting fisherman, the smoke from the Black Ships, and the ink of that first treaty — these became the quiet foundation of a unique U.S.-Japan bond built on mutual respect rather than subjugation. America helped open Japan’s doors to the world… and Japan became one of America’s most reliable friends in return. That 170-year-old encounter may be the hidden cornerstone of the special relationship we still share and value today. What do you think — does this piece of shared history surprise you? #BlackShips #CommodorePerry #USJapanHistory #JohnManjiro #phoenixrising
