Daily Detail - Attack 4 & Ready Change With backchecking a focal coaching point, it’s important to get numbers up ice when attacking on the rush. We see Chicago attacking with 4 while the goal scorer comes onto the ice ready. No fumbling of his stick, and a few hard strides.

Daily Detail - Stick & Body Deception Quintin Byfield sprints up ice and shows he is taking away the near wall. As he notices the puck carrier look and chance body language to pass middle, he pulls his stick and body there to get the interception!

I recommend one leg skating. Always funny when players start by trying to push against air with their off leg. They quickly learn downforce and rolling edges. Add a puck once it becomes too easy.

Two solid translatable tactics: (1) Hide your feet’s intentions until late or flip flop them to throw off the forechecker (2) Follow your shot to the net for additional opportunities!
