My gripe with the VRS conversation is that while yes, it's a shit system, regressing also isn't progress. We shouldn't just default to going back to RMRs. I think a good solution would be finding middle ground. Maybe leaving stage 1 of the major open for qualifiers. That way you can use a VRS like system to determine top dogs, while leaving space at the bottom for cinderella runs.

It's fair to say he's worse, but I think he also got punished by the rating 3.0 transition. He's still a very capable awper, because as you say a lot of people aren't great rn. I won't argue that kl1m isn't worth the gamble, I kind of forgot he's just on loan atp. If they try him, it's fair. But sunpayus will make someone else better.

@HorizzonCS A lot of AWPers aren’t doing great right now, but that doesn’t wipe away any criticism from SunPayus - he’s a shadow of the player he used to be G2 also have a potentially better AWPer out on loan too And G2 have lots is issues, he is one that would need addressing eventually

I'm currently prototyping a roster move simulator that accounts for the positions, playstyles, and resources of the players coming in and the player being replaced. Anyone want to cook some roster moves?
