That after 20 years of nostalgia baiting and new forms we need to move on. While this does mean that Blastoise would never get his (deserved) steel typing, I am more than willing to sacrifice that for a pokemon game with at most 50 returning pokemon for a total of 200 in a dex8/?

This might be a hot take but returning Pokémon between generations is a really boring design choice for new pokemon generations. I could understand it for johto in the regional dex, as it is adjacent to Kanto, but the idea of a national dex really falls flat for me. The idea 1/?
