Still posting about all the corruption, conflicts of interest, and abuse of power surrounding donny trump. DAY 150 150 days. I can’t believe it’s been 150 days already. 150 examples of corruption and conflicts. And the thing that terrifies me the most isn’t any single incident or scandal. It’s how much his behavior, that once would have been disqualifying, has become normalized by so many people. The president attacking judges. The president demanding personal loyalty. The president treating political opponents as enemies. The president thinking it’s ok to personally attack and insult anyone who questions him. The president insisting that any institution that disagrees with him must be corrupt. None of this morally bankrupt behavior should feel ordinary. But repetition has a way of lowering standards. The more often something happens, the less shocking it becomes. That’s how normalization works. Not all at once. A little at a time. And that’s why it’s important to keep counting. Still counting.
