Over 100 of us occupied @LewishamCouncil housing office this morning demanding 'No More House of Horrors'. We were there with two families who have been trapped in hostels for a total of 4 years. These families need local social housing now!

Saturday saw the biggest housing protest in a decade with thousands of people taking to the streets to demand mass investment in council housing to end the homeless crisis! 500 HASL members joined this historic housing protest making it our biggest HASL mobilisation ever!🏠❤✊💪

We were supporting our member Jacqueline this morning for her legal challenge against Southwark council. Her unaffordable rent is leaving her with debts but the council refuse to recognise that she is homeless😠 We are still waiting on the judgement but we'll keep you updated

The Shard - one of Southwark's most iconic buildings. Penthouses range from £30-£50million. The developer said they couldn't afford to provide any affordable housing and instead agreed an in-lieu payment of just £1.5m.
